Each year, of my born-again, and second chance at life, forms a new layer of experience and understanding. Sometimes it may be from willful wrong-doing wreaking havoc for me and my loved ones. It is so hard to overcome the consequences of selfish choices, and I learn that the price is too great to pay. Sometimes it is from right choices that overwhelm me with joy. It is so much better to “do it right” the first time, drawing from the Source of all peace and joy, no longer having to stumble, fall, and drag myself up again.
When I am filled with God’s presence, it overflows to those around me. Sharing the message of forgiveness and new life in Jesus Christ comes naturally, and people listen. They, too, can see more clearly His sacrifice on the cross, His love and compassion for all who believe and come to Him.
