“Swallowing reflexes made me gag against the oxygen tube. Trying to wrench the object from my throat sent tears streaming. My wrists were bound to the metal bars of the hospital bed in the emergency room. Coarse sounds escaped my throat and my legs thrashed for release. An alarm alerted the nurse, who rushed to free me from my bonds; an instantaneous spew of vomit sprayed everywhere...I would live.”
I was healed emotionally and renewed spiritually in a divine encounter with God, through Christ! Since that life-defining moment, fifteen years ago, that robbed me of my attempted suicide, I am a woman at peace with God, at peace with my world. I had thought my life was over when my youngest son died from a drug overdose. God’s miraculous intervention saved my life. Working for Princess Tours at Mt McKinley, Alaska, I shared my miracle story with people from all over the world. I took my first tandem sky dive in Arizona; and I recently attended my 50th reunion in San Francisco! My miracle story is a major part of who I am and causes others to search their own souls and marvel sadly with me about how we take our lives for granted!
Because of my love for writing and journaling through the good times and the bad, I have a treasure-trove of family-life stories to draw from. My current manuscript working title is “Full Circle~ from alienation to reconciliation...overcoming a situation that once offered no escape or resolution.”
I live daily to encourage hurting people to have faith in God and what He can do in their lives, too!
