Thank You so much
For being just Who You are!
You lighten, brighten my days!
Your early gifts
You bring to my door
In so many ways.
Your holiness
And righteousness
Awes me to pieces,
And in the grip
Of your love,
My whole heart it seizes.
Come, Jesus,
Into my life,
Stay forever with me!
As my own
Good Shepherd,
Your own little lamb I will be!
Look at how
You delight and amaze me!
Who else but You!?
And to think
That before my creation
In Your omniscience You knew!
See how I
Just hang on to You Lord?
I can't seem to break away.
In these mountaintop
Experiences
I could stay and stay all day.
But, lo,
I must go
To the valley once more,
Because that
Is where my life is lived,
And where even more blessings You pour.
But the valleys
Aren't senseless places at all,
Because they are where I learn
How to be
A pilgrim in this sojourn on earth
And my rewards in heaven earn.
It is all
In how
I look at things
Whether to my soul
Peace
Or turmoil it brings,
And when
I put You
In every equation,
I am
At one with the world
In most every relation.
