I read the verse that came today,
it said just how I feel;
Funny how the Bible's words,
make my thoughts so real!
It was from Proverbs, this little verse,
its words touched my heart so true;
for it describes where I used to be,
and where I am now - with you!
The first line describes me oh so well,
before Jesus rescued me, made me new;
the second tells of my wondrous life,
the gift of love so true!
Sometimes the words that I read
just make my heart soar and sing;
the blessing wraps round me, soft and warm,
and oh, the joy it brings!
I have gone from the lowest low,
to the most beautiful place to be;
for before I was alone in the dark,
but now with you, I can truly be!
I thank God this morning for sending these words
to make my day bright and new;
and give me a special new way to say
how very much I LOVE YOU!!
"Hope deferred make the heart sick,
but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life."
