Reach for the stars with a divine goal,
And don't allow anyone to stop you.
You may stumble, you may fall,
Just get up and continue the race.
There may be loftly hills and valleys,
Deep ravines and wild rivers to cross.
Don't bother to rest
Nor allow the wild beast to outrun you,
For Galatians 5:7 says: You are running a good race.
Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?
Journey to the moon with a prayerful aim,
And cover yourself with God's Word.
There will be cheerers to encourage you,
No matter how wild the wind may blow,
Through blinding blizzards and rough storms,
And a turbulent cyclone to conquer.
Don't give in to tears
Nor be discouraged by the boos of the enemy,
For Hebrews 12:1 says: Therefore, since we are surrounded
By such a great cloud of witnesses,
Let us throw off everything that hinders
And the sin that so easily entangles,
And let us run with perseverance
The race marked out for us.
Conclude the race in heaven with shouts of victory,
Join the angels and the saints
As they sing praises to the King,
Honor the Lord with humility and awe,
Surrender your crown before Him.
For Acts 20:24 says: However, I consider my life
Worth nothing to me,
If only I may finish the race
And complete the task
The Lord Jesus has given me -
The task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.
