Well folks, whoever you voted for, if you voted your conscience, you have done you part. God is in control and He has a reason for all things. Let us pray for this country. For God's mercy, and His direction and wisdom for President-elect Obama, and our congress to tackle the difficult tasks that lie ahead.
In the second chapter of 1Timothy it says: "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all..."
Here are some facts you MUST keep in mind:
1. The Bible will still have all the answers.
2. Prayer will still work.
3. The Holy Spirit will still move.
4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people.
5. There will still be God-anointed preaching.
6. There will still be singing of praise to God.
7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people.
8. There will still be room at the Cross.
9. Jesus will still love you.
10. Jesus will still save the lost when they come to Him.

Jack Kinsella of the Omega Letter just wrote: Barack Hussein Obama is the President-elect of the United States because God wanted Barack Hussein Obama -- and no one else -- to be president for the next four years. "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Whatever God has planned for the next four years, He needs a mysterious, charismatic but inexperienced socialist dreamer with a Muslim education and spiritual ties to the god of this world to facilitate those ends. Nobody else would do.
Honor The King
By Ray Gano
Folks, I am a blood bought soul paid by our savior Jesus Christ. Christ paid a price for me and He also paid a price for you too. I am a simple person who has learned to trust in God's Word. I take it for what it says and fight the temptation to "lean not on my own understanding."
Here is a simple statement that Christ himself said...John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. I received a lot of emails this morning about President elect Obama.
To be honest I voted my conscience and I am at peace with that vote. I do not feel that "we lost" or some sort of impeding doom. I can’t say that I am happy with the guy and I have to say that I have my concerned for this nation. But when the rubber meets the road, it is God who had the final vote, and it is He who places kings.
I bring up obedience to Christ and submission to His Word because we need to remember what scripture says. In light of the elections, I encourage you to read the following...
Daniel 2:20-21 (KJV) Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
1 Peter 2:13-15(KJV) Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. 17 Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Matthew 5:44-48 (KJV) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
1 Peter 3:15(KJV) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Mat 6:9-13(KJV) After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Luke 21:28(KJV) And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
If you have Christ in your heart, we are His children. Like any child, we have the choice to either obey or disobey. If you are one of His, you are going to heaven, that is a fact. But when we get there, we will be asked to give an account and He will ask, "Did you love me? Did you obey my commandments?"
I am not perfect and I am a sinner, but I try daily to be a good child of God and try to obey Him. Do I walk the perfect life? No I don’t, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. But I try minute by minute to pick up my cross and follow Him.
So I ask, What kind of Child of God are you? Do you submit to Him minute by minute? Or... do you cut corners, split hairs, justify yourself, and in the end choose to be your own master?
We are living in the last days, that is a fact. More than anything we need to cleave and hold on to the Lord tighter than ever. We do that by learning and living His Word. It is human nature to read His word and say ‘that’s for me… that’s not for me.” Where in reality, Since God said it, we just need to do it.
What did God say? Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. (1 Peter 2:17)
He also said...John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Choose you this day whom you will serve, as for me and my house, we choose to serve the Lord… Ray.
Folks, if you are apprehensive for tomorrow, you are not resting in Jesus today. Matthew 6:33-34, 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Today you can make a difference in someone’s life.
Today, you can serve God.
Today, you can tell someone about Jesus.
Today is the day of your salvation…you choose!

Excellent article and quoted sermon, Lucian. I loved it. I voted my conscience too and have peace about the result because my King is Jesus and no one can oust Him from the throne.
I particularly enjoyed this line in the quoted material, "What did God say? Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. (1 Peter 2:17) It's so simple, yet if we were all to do that much, how different the world would be.
