A Royal Princess 11/3/08
Lord, let me tune in to You today,
Listening and learning from all You say.
Let my target be Your perfect heart,
Beginning now, right from the start.
I get up and come to you from my bed,
First to You I am always led.
Let no other thing get in my way
As I know how I must start my day.
To my Heavenly Father I must
Ever come. For His presence I lust
As the one thing I must always have,
And for this I am eternally glad.
I come to pay homage to Jesus Christ,
Honor Him and acknowledge my rights
As a royal princess, child of God,
Sitting at His throne, always awed.
No longer a poor beggar on the streets,
It's the Holy God each day I meet,
Who's brought me to His royal family,
One day in heaven will be crowning me.
But for now I'm a pilgrim on this earth,
Every morning giving birth
To a new day of praises and glory
To my Jesus Who authored the story.

Brenda, this really moved my heart this morning, particularly the second stanza. It was a very strong reminder from the Spirit to not let any other things get in the way of my time with the Lord each day. Thank you for being His gentle whisper to me today. With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)
Love the title and what a beautiful tribute to our Lord!
