“Free of Pain”

To walk by sight means trouble…
Seeing only grief and pain;
Looking at life’s hard trials;
Wondering how long they will remain.

With sight suffering abounds.
Sorrow penetrates the soul.
Desperation leads to asking:
Is there any hope of becoming whole?

To walk by faith means healing…
Where the pain has purpose in God’s hand.
Faith that says “Oh Healer,”
I trust you with this hurt I cannot stand.

Because our Healer knows all pain,
And out of love He gave…
His own life entrenched in suffering;
He even experienced the grave.

His torment at Calvary’s cross
brought us eternal liberty…
A glorious home in Heaven;
Love bestowed so faithfully.

Keep your mind on Heaven
where no earthly pain remains.
Sorrow will not harbor
because freedom God ordains!
