My Father in heaven
Watches over me
So in comfort I sleep well at night
God is my father
And I’m his child
God never leaves me from his sight.
God’s mighty arms
Keeps me safe
I can freely go without any fear
He bears my troubles
And eases my pain
Without doubt he’s always here.
He is my Shepard
As well as my father
He guides me wherever I go
He’s always there
Whenever I need him
He’s the solution when I don’t know.
I like having a father
Who has the answers
At that point he gives me a choice
I can do it my way
Or choose to listen
But I’ve learned to obey his voice.
Because I’m his child
He’s promised me rights
To inherit his kingdom which he owns
What show of love
From Father to child
That’s my father who sits on the throne.
God loves
And all his children
He looks at me with a loving smile
Unconditional love
From my father
I am proud to say I’m God’s child.
