Okay, so I had my big day in town this morning. Making my way home from K-mart I cut across the back of Kroger parking lot and saw one of our local artist (not) had left a painted reminder above a doorway....
HATE AND WAR....that's all life is about
Ever wonder what is running around in people's minds when they do really strange things?
How am I (or you too for that matter) suppose to respond to that?
Well, as Charles Dickens once said, "It was the Best of Time, It Was the Worst of Times"
Generation to generation there is always something going on that is not good. Right now, the economy is really bad, the 2008 election is sitting on our door steps, and people are losing their jobs like crazy.
I think what I want to say here is something we already know, friends, we need to turn our total attention on the Lord and cry out to God to help our nation. We need to become more serious with knowing and learning about Jesus Christ, believing what He says is true and repenting from all the stupid stuff we have gotten ourselves into as a people.
Remember getting your first credit card? I do too! We thought it was such a great thing and we had a new baby, no money and couldn't buy groceries. And, years later, the world came crashing down on us because we misused credit cards and got ourselves in a sea of debt. Getting out of debt is difficult, but once you get yourself into debt, you and you alone have the obligation to honor your debts...get debt free and stay that way.
Then, remember when we started hearing about "the right to life"? Remember how we almost hid ourselves from the truth as millions and millions of unborn babies were and have been killed and snatched away from their mother's womb? How are you reacting to that Christian?
Then, there were not so great presidents....Carter, Nixon, Clinton, Bush, Bush, and who knows who will be elected in 6 days? CHRISTIAN BE RESPONSIBLE....our world, us as individuals, we need to get on our knees and stay there....pray for AMERICA. Surely there is more to us as a people than HATE AND WAR!
PRAY! We must turn our attention to God and quit living such a sinful lifestyle. We must stand up and make our elected officials listen to us. This is a serious time in America and we need help from the Lord.
