Missed The Rapture ?
There are some well meaning children of God that believe that they will have to go through the coming tribulation. But my interpretation of scripture does not support that. Look at the gospel of Paul to the Romans. ”But God Commends, demonstrates His love toward us, in that while we were sinners Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified, ,made right with God, by the blood of His Son, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” {Jesus Christ} Paul has said that the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross as the payment for my sins has saved me from God’s wrath. Paul echoes this in 1 Thessalonians “For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation, deliverance by our Lord Jesus Christ.” Scripture just does not support this teaching that the Saints of God will go through the coming tribulation. The word Saints being found in the book of Revelation may be the reason for this error. Or may it be the fact that the Saints of God shall be sealed from the wrath of God poured out during the coming tribulation. Let us identify these saints.

The Revelation records;” And one of the Elders said to me. Who are these {saints} which are arrayed in white robes? And where did they come from? And I said unto him sir you know. And he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” The Saints that we read about in the Revelation went into the tribulation unsaved, not born again, but received salvation during the tribulation, but the church, the body of Christ, the bride of Christ was raptured, taken to heaven before the tribulation. No where in the bible has God poured out His wrath on the world of the ungodly and included His Children, His people. How does one get saved during the tribulation? God has three means of getting out the gospel. The 144.000 Jewish evangelist listed in Revelation seven. The 2 Prophets of Revelation eleven. The Angel preaching the everlasting gospel of Revelation fourteen. The Saints you read about in the Revelation received salvation through one of these means.

And God said to Noah, “the end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them, behold I will destroy them with the earth” God destroyed sinful humanity with His wrath through the flood, but He saved Noah and his family. “ And the Lord said, because the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous, I will go down.” God poured out His wrath upon These two cities, but He spared Lot and his family. In fact the angel told Lot that he could do nothing until Lot had escaped. God never includes His people when He intentionally pours out His wrath on the ungodly. The tribulation is the wrath of God poured out upon sinful humanity during the last of the last days. God poured out His wrath upon the Egyptians, but not one plague touch the city of Goshen where the Israelites dwelt. Look at this word from the Gospel of John. “ He that believes on the Son has everlasting life; and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides, rest on him.” God’s wrath rest on the unbeliever, but since I am a believer, the wrath of God has been lifted off of my life. So why do I need to go through the tribulation, the wrath of God?

Husbands love your wives, even as Christ loves the church{ His bride} and gave Himself for her. I think that Jesus would be very disappointed if I allowed my wife to go through some tribulation that I had the power to deliver her out of. Likewise I would be very disappointed in Christ if He allowed His bride} the church} to go through the tribulation having the power to deliver her out of it.

God does discipline His people, He does chastise them. In the Old Testament He got mighty angry with the sons of Jacob. But when God pours out His wrath because of the sins of the ungodly, He never includes His chosen. I thank my Lord Jesus Christ for His blood shed on Calvary’s cross as the payment for my sins, making me exempt from God’s wrath. Bernard A. Jones
