I've loved too many and suffered regret
With anxious heart, rejection and debt.
All were beautiful and in their prime
Dream girls of every color and kind.
I loved them all both tall and short
I loved them all with full support.
I loved them till they fooled around
With so-called friends out on the town.
Sometimes it's hard to acquire a good mate
One who will love us and not hesitate.
During our search for the best of the rest.
Many times it's hurts to fail God's test
Wherever man sleeps below the skies above
There are couples blessed by laughter and love.
I've loved too many and without good reason
So now I'm alone come Christmas season.
What say you Lord, will you answer my plea
For leadership and assistance to be all I can be.
Fools desire love after sorrow has made them wise
Please grant me my angel with trust in her eyes.

Tom, I am a woman, but I read your poem hoping to learn more about how men think and feel.
It is not clear to me what relationship you see between loving too many and your present longing for someone to trust you. The verses before the last one, led me to think you felt cheated and that you want someone you can trust. But then you end with a plea for someone to trust you. Did your wives/girlfriends not trust you? Did you need more trust from them to make your relationships last? I'd like to see you expand on the poem to help the reader connect the dots.
The last line asks God to send you your "angle". I have a hunch you meant "angel".
