We can hire assistants to help us, yet a good and faithful friend is truly a gift from the Lord and the Lord promises the best friend and comforter to us in the Holy Spirit when we repent and acknowledge His Lordship in our life...
"Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Peter was so proud to preach about the blessed Holy Spirit, and why would he not be, its the Holy Spirit that strenghtened the once coward Peter and used him gloriously for His glory.
