This was written in memory of Kimberly Holt, a young lady who recently lost her life after a c-section to deliver her third child. She was my daughter's best friend since they were babies. She developed something called DIC that causes excessive hemoraging and clotting in the blood vessels preventing blood flow to the vital organs. It was a shocking and very sad situation. Please pray for her husband and three children (including the newborn) who are now without a wife and Mama.
September Rain
It was a beautiful day in September
Full of joy and hope for a new life
A precious little baby was about to enter
Into this old wicked world full of strife
Then something went dreadfully wrong
As the baby came forth from her womb
Mama’s blood pressure was dropping sharply
And a panic came into that room
There wasn’t a cloud in the sky that day
But the rain was sure to come down
How could a joyous occasion such as this
Turn into such a doomsday all around
The doctors could not stop the bleeding
Her family and friends were in shock
Her strong body was thrown into chaos
We could no longer consider her our “rock”
We prayed and called out to the heavens
For God to work a miracle on Kim
September rain poured down from our eyes
Her prognosis was looking very grim
She never got to hold her little baby
Though she’d hoped and planned for so long
She never got to count his toes and fingers
Or tenderly sing him a lullaby song
A little boy will never know his Mama
Her sweet touch holding him so near
He will never hear the joy in her laughter
Or see her eyes full of love, shed a tear
Sweet Kimberly made everyone feel special
Like a butterfly she softly touched our soul
Her laughter was like a favorite love song
That soothes you and never grows old
Her love of life and teasing disposition
Her beauty, her warmth and her smile
We’ll forever hold onto in our memories
But for now, we must grieve for a while
It was such a tragic day in September
A new life was given but another was taken
But don’t you think - for one single minute
The God of heaven has totally forsaken.
His thoughts and ways are never our ways
His plans are so much higher than ours
He’s the only One to give us hope and a future
Among the flood of the September showers
September rain brought in October pain
But with hope we must continue to carry on
A blessed hope that can only come from Jesus
Like the whisper of a favorite old love song……
Rest in peace sweet Kimbo

I am so sorry, and my prayers will be with you all, so beautifully written. I have gone through the same thing with a young girl that was close to our family, i watched her grow up. She had a blood clot that went to the brain. She left her new daughter and husband. No one knows why but she loved the Lord. Like you say, our ways are not His ways. HOLD ON !
Dear Julia,
This was so beautiful and tender... a loving tribute to a woman who obviously touched many lives. One day this poem will mean the world to her family, especially her brand new baby. God bless... Linda
