The Lord Pays Attention

The Lord Pays Attention

As words of prayer, drifts heavenward
our blessed Savior pays close attention
And a heavenly comforter soon arrives
promised by Jesus before his ascension

When one of his many chosen children
are suffering in sorrow, distress or tears
It will never go unheeded up in Heaven
pleas for help, never fall upon deaf ears

There is a holy spirit, existing within us
with connections, directly to the throne
At times we may feel totally abandoned
his spirit assures us, we are never alone

Manís carnal eye, can not be a witness
to things, Godís spirit wishes to reveal
A sin filled heart, can not know the joy
of serving a God, who is alive and real

He hears our cries, he counts our tears
his eyes are always moving, to and fro
I am so thankful that he pays attention
watching over me, wherever I may go

We are so blessed to have a Father who watches over us 24/7. Unlike some preachers will tell you, He DOES NOT get angry and turn away from us when we are hurting and in despair. He never changes and I am so glad. Thank you for this piece. Anita
