Daddy, I see you there
In the little home beside the creek
All I remember, I must share
Not much in a three year olds mind
Nothing much to compare
But yet, I knew you loved me
God taught me the love you had
I knew I was not alone
Because of the way he raised me
After you were gone
You left me in his arms
He turned on his Father charms
I feel so special
Now I know the way
To see you
Is through his eyes
When I see him, I see you too
This grandmother is still a baby
I am a child in his arms
As I look into his face
All I can see is grace
He sees no age
He sees no time, he sees no space
It is no surprise
When I hear him say
Lean on me and have a good day
He tells me that I can call, "Abba Father"
A three year old with a daddy
From above
Can conquer anything
With that kind of daddy love.
Daddy, I am waiting to fly on out
When I do, you will hear me shout
I know this soul will never die
That’s why
I walk on a narrow path
Usually I see all skies of blue
but
Sometimes if a storm arises
and clouds cover my head
He calms me with his word
Then the rain I do not dread
He says,
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
I see my mansion there in the distance, with my name above the door
That’s the reason when the path becomes a jungle
I grip my sword and shield
My breast plate is wrapped around me
And in order to see you, my daddy
I must continue to do Gods Will.
Daddy, I will always love you
Your baby girl
