Worship is what elevated King David to a special position with the Almighty,
He knew how to strike the right chord in the Lord’s heart,
He played his harp as a shepherd boy and gladdened the heart of the King,
He wove notes sweet and melodious, the fragrance waft throughout the palace.
True worship permeates the air and swirls upwards like sweet perfume,
Tickling the nostrils of the one that made it all happen from the beginning,
The one who alone deserves all praise and adoration,
The four and twenty elders worship and shout Hosanna all day long
Why should we not the same do.
True and wholesome worship begins at the altar of thanksgiving
Thanksgiving for a brand new day and mercies that abound
Worship of He, who is great and mighty, majestic in all glory
‘The Earth is the Lord’s and its fullness thereof and all they that dwell within it’.
‘Let everything that has breathe Praise the Lord, with timbrels and cymbals,
With wind and sound instruments, clap your hands and make joyful noise all day long’.
Worship with a heart of humility and deepest devotion
Glorifying the most high in voices sweet and melodious
With hands lifted up and hearts filled with praise
Let the vapor of worship go up and trigger a downpour of blessings
