Do You See What I See?

There was a child born imperfect, what would his parents do?
Their hopes were dashed, their fears were real, and they couldn’t start anew.
They knew their life had changed forever, beginning with that day,
The darkness settled into their future, there must be another way.

And then the sky just opened up, a light from far above.
So bright, so radiant, so full of hope, it had to be God’s love.
God spoke to them so loud and clear, “Just set your eyes on me,
Keep traveling on and don’t look back and you will see what I see.”

The child would grow into a man, and take himself a wife,
They would talk of having children, to bring into this life.
Their fear was real, when genes pass on, the outcome is unknown,
They did not want their child to have imperfections of his own.

And then the sky just opened up, a light shone from above,
So bright, so radiant, so full of hope, they knew it was God’s love.
God’s voice was plain and very clear and they knew it instantly,
“Have your children, they’re in my hands and you will see what I see.”

With children grown and on their own, having jobs and now careers,
To lives so busy and traveling far, the future still has its fears.
They're pressing on, and forging ahead, uncertain of what life will be,
Then that small voice will say, “Just trust, do you see what I see?”

As time goes by and age sets in, our health may need a lift,
It’s funny how we take for granted all the things that are God’s gift.
We have learned that self reliance is not all we dreamed and hoped,
And when the future seems unclear, we find it somewhat hard to cope.

And then the sky just opened up, with bright lights from above,
So bright, so radiant, so full of hope, it could be nothing but God’s love.
God’s voice was soft, but very real, as calm as the mighty sea,
“Be still my children and I will allow you to see what I see.”

If only we could be as children, without question give our trust,
For we are not a forsaken people, to look to God a must.
All that God has ever wanted, if for His people to be free.
So if we say it cannot happen, He says, “Do You See What I See?”

Isn't it wonderful that He has laid it out so clear in His word. All we have to do is read and except and then we can see as He see's. I enjoyed this, great article.
