Daddy's little sweetheart comes and sits on his lap and hugs his neck so tight. He then embraces her with all the love that is in his heart so she will know that he will protect and care for her all the days of her life.
She feels the warmth and surety of her daddy's love and knows for certain that any good thing she ask of him he will do for her.

She leans back and looks at him with those sparkly little eyes and says, "Daddy? can I have a bicycle?"
"Yes honey, you certainly can!" he tells her.
She immediately jumps for joy and gets a so excited she can hardly talk and thank him enough.
He smiles down at her and feels that rush of love come over his soul because he has made his daughter so happy.
"When Daddy, when?" she replies.
"Soon honey, soon. I want to get you the best bicycle there is. I want you to be the talk of all the kids in the neighborhood but I need to do a little shopping 1st, and I'll let you know when I find it."
"Ok Daddy" she says excitedly as she runs out to tell all her friends the good news, "Thank you Daddy, thank you so much,,,,,,,,I love you!"
"I love you too honey!"

Several months go by and still no bicycle.
The daughter comes back to her Daddy and says, "Daddy, I thought you said you were going to buy me a beautiful bicycle?"
"I am!" he tells her.
"Well it's been a long time and you still haven't gotten me one!"
"Yes, I know, but I haven't found the right one yet sweetie."
"Well Daddy, are you looking hard enough, cuz you said you would, and it still isn't here?"
A sort of sadness comes over the Dad, and he says, "Now baby, didn't I tell you I had to shop around 1st and see which one would suit you best, so you could be the talk of the town?"
"Yes Daddy, but I am getting kind of discouraged if you know what I mean. I have told all my friends that you were the best Daddy in the world and you would do anything for me and yet still I don't have what I asked you for."
Tears and sorrow fill the dad's heart and yet he knows he must answer her more firmly now. "Honey, you must be patient and let me find the exact one for you, for not just any bicycle will do for my daughter. You do trust my decision with this ok?"
"Yes Daddy, but I know you have the money and I am not trying to be mean here but all I know is I still don't have a bike."
The dejected Dad replies, "Honey I know what's best, I have only your best in mind. I heard your request the 1st time and I will do it. But you must let me do this my way and trust me. I am sorry that you are upset with me because I haven't done this when you wanted me to. I had hoped so much that you would be patient and trust me because you know how much I love you. Your words today are not reflecting that trust and it is breaking my heart." With that the Dad looks down at the floor, turns and walks out of the room with tears in his eyes for he did not hear the response he had hoped for from his loving daughter.

And so it is when we go to God and ask a prayer request from Him. Whether it be for a mate or finances or whatever.
If we are going to say. "Daddy will you do this for me?"
Let us make sure we believe and have faith He will, and that He will do it His perfect way. Then we need to leave it in His hands to do it in His good time. Once we have prayed for something that is good for us and meets His approval, all we have to do is wait for Him to do it.
I believe we grieve Him by asking over and over again when He heard us the 1st time.
There' an ole' saying, "Your worrying and fretting is NOT gonna force God's hands to act," and another one says this,.."A crisis on your end does not create and emergency on God's end."
Lastly there is one more saying that goes like this,..."God may not answer you when you want Him to, but He ain't never late."
God bless you all and remember to have faith in your Daddy!!!!!!
