Strongholds exists in thoughts, patterns, and ideas. It is cold and hardened thoughts where many legions of demonic forces enter our spirits to conform us into the image of the devil. The devil realizes the only way he can gain access is through us. He accuses God and slanders our name. When we talk badly about our brothers and sisters or harbor resentment, we give him access.
He uses the spirit of compromise in our lives by causing us to fear the truth. The truth of how others sees us compared to the truth in which God instilled inside of every believer. Every time we surrender to hurt feeling rather than boldly speaking God's truth, we give space to enemy and we lose some of the fire he instilled in us.
As Christians with power in our lives, we live by the words we speak. And just as God's angels waits to fight for us, the enemy waits for any seeds of ill will to enter our lives and ministry to cause us to surrender and be defeated.
Love is the best defense against the enemy. Love covers truth and honesty, and it gives us access to God without unconfessed sin and iniquity. Love breaks the hold the enemy has on us. Love is the key which the devil cannot use against us. Love breaks down walls of dissension and discord. It can cause the most hardened heart to weep, as a child.
When you allow bad thoughts and bad words to come out of your mouth or even in your heart without repenting, you allow the devil to bring division into your household. You are placing your family into bondage. You are also placing them under a curse. They will never assume the roles, they were meant to have.
God has given us what we need for victorious living. He has given us the power of an intercessor. The power to stand in the gap for those who are hurting. Those who are weak, and those who need strength. As believers, when we stand for Christ, we are not alone. We have every angel at God's command at our side just waiting on us as soldiers to act!
