Praises from a joyful heart burst forth from the faithful, Father,
though many are their afflictons,
there is no doubt,
meditating on Your good works
all fears are removed.
No other but You, O Lord have spoken of things to come,
and You are He who brings them to pass.
Those who believe in different gods,
let them make their case if they heard it elsewhere.
Which other god shall they compare to You?
The craftsmen form an image, yes carved of wood,
with which they use parts of to make a fire that they may warm themselves,
and the other part they bow before and say, "You are my god!"
Have they no knowledge?
Their faith is a vain thing and they lack understanding.
Yes, from a piece of wood they seek deliverance
and all they shall find is nothing but sorrow,
for the piece of wood shall not save them in their time of trouble
No, neither will an image made of any metal or stone.
Happy are those whose hearts are fixed upon the Lord,
for their prayers are answered. Yes, not one goes unheard
by our Most High God who is above all gods.
You, O Lord spoke ages ago of others who would fall away,
denying You and cursing You believing You aren't here.
For them You are not therefore, troubles fill their world.
Listen to Your servants, Father,
together with the sea and all the earth,
hear a new song of joy sung just for You.
The promise of many blessings made long ago is being revealed.
Yes, with blessing upon blessing upon blessing
the faithful endure knowing You are always here
is a gift in itself.
It's just one of the many believers come to know.
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is, and is to come
