The prophet Jeremiah didn't really want to continue to prophecy destruction to Israel by Babylon...but in chapter 20 vs 9 he said he couldn't help himself, he could stop the urge from God to speak.......it was like a "fire shut up in my bones."
We too had better be speaking what God tells us to and stop worrying about what others may think of us.
I was recently out of town this week in a small town working,,,,,,,,,,I like to go to church on Wednesday night when out of town.............so I found a nice Assembly of God and went to the evening service. (By the way, AOG's are one of the few that still have service on Wed nite......ty God!)
After the preaching and just before prayer time I saw the large tele-prompter screen behind the Pastor turn bright canary yellow......and I asked the Lord......Why Yellow Lord?
He said.......Because this pastor is a coward and I want you to tell him that!
I said...........You got to be kidding me right?
He said ......Nope......Tell him!
I said...........I ain't gonna tell this pastor he's a coward,,,,,,,,,,,I just came in here tonight to get me some loving from you Lord and be in the house of God tonight,.......this man don't know me from Adam,,,,,,,and he is gonna think I am nuts,,,,,,,and punch me in the mouth!
God said.......Tell him what I said,,,,,,or you both will miss the blessing!
As I was pondering whether to obey the Lord or not I saw that same tele-prompter screen turn GOLD........and he Lord said....this man is GOLD to me, but he needs to stop being a coward and just go back and pick up the vision I gave him when he 1st started and stop worrying about what the church board will say and do,,,,,,,he needs to do what I showed him to do and let the chips fall where they may!
O' gee Lord..I said...why me?
So after service I went up to the young pastor and said I have a word from God for you when you get thru with the others.
I stood outside greeting others and soon the pastor called me into his office where I proceeded to tell him all God showed me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Tears began to flow up in his eyes and he confessed many things to me about how he had left his 1st love/vision from God behind in order to appease the church board and congregation.......
Man did I feel relieved!.....I counseled with Him to obey what hte Lord had told me and go forward from here and told him that if he will "take care of God's business,,,,,,God will take care of yours!"
He promised me that he would go back and gather up the vision that God had given him when he 1st started ministering,,,,,,,,and he would start to obey God and speak and do what God has shown him.......No more church as usual........he was gonna let God (Holy Spirit) speak thru him from now on, and let the chips fall where they may........no matter what.
WOW..........now I know how Jeremiah felt when he couldn't stop the word of God from coming out of his lips.
You see when we obey the Lord,,,,,,,,no matter how strange or odd it may seem to us,,,,,,,,not only will someone be saved and blessed,,,,,,,,but so will we be counted worthy of double blessings..........don't ya just love it????????
I adjure all you ministers to stop having church (God and his people are sick of church) and start listening to the voice of God thru the Holy Spirit and let the power of God FLOW......it will change your church and your own lives forever.....in Jesus name............amen.
