A Covenant of Blessing
In every aspect of our lives, God desires to set his approval of Blessings. Especially in our relationships. If you listen to the radio or watch television, or even listen to renowned speakers and researchers, they will tell you find a good man or woman is almost impossible. And the older you are, the less likely you are to find the perfect mate. I heard on one show, you have a better chance of being hit by a car. But no one knows the mind and power of God.
God never said so. He just established guidelines to help us along the way. God desire is for women to stand beside her husband. Not become a lover, or a common-law- wife. To take the time to get to know one another, as they get to know him. Courtship is fun and exciting. It is laughing and enjoying each others dreams, and wanting to spend a lifetime of sharing them.
When you pledge your love for one another, you are stating, “God, we want to be as one sharing the rest of your lives together. And we wanted to becommitted to this vow as long as God allows it. I want us to honor God, and for him to be pleased in us because of the love he has for us. And being willing to stand each other every day.
Marriage is a covenant between two people, and whom God sets his approval upon. The trouble is, no one wants to know what God thinks. They know his approval before hand and decided to go their own way. Troubles, and they immediately expect him to get them out of it, and when God don't move as quickly as they think, then divorce is the answer.
God hates divorce. This is why he wants us to find someone who will serve and honor him. Two people who can do that as one, is a nation in the making. The anointing and the power which resides in them will last a lifetime. It will be a witness for everyone around them. The love of God will flourish more than time itself, and throughout the next generations. The devil knows that and hates it. He sees the covenant of blessing radiating on those who God chooses, and he throws every arsenal at his disposal to cause strife and division.
A covenant of Blessing is never easy. It is never meant to be- it a time of challenge and strong faith in God, and trusting him to give you the strength to make it through.
Men and women grow weak and seek other avenues because they don't remember the covenant of God, and the fact he loves families, and he wants what is best for us. They have become so desperate in listening to researchers, they can't hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. They will take anyone who pays them the slightest attention and usually it ends badly. When they end up in a bad relationship, they become one in a number, not because it was destined to fail, it was because they never listened to God, the man who establishes covenant.
Covenant Blessing is a binding contract which will never be broken, because His Word is written in Heaven!
