My portion my strength
the Light and the Way
the One who reigns
and forever remains.
The one who knows the despair of the weak
the one who knows what its like to weep.
A man of sorrows
who understands
broken spirits and trembling hands.
He lived amoung broken, fallen and worn
faced rejection, dejection
hatred and scorn.
We failed and fell
deserved only death
but the Son forgave us
with His very last breath.
Light of the world shone in the dark night
mighty in power sheds only light.
The hope of the fallen
sends His spirit and love
to all who call Him.
He comes into the darkest land
brings redemption, and deliverance
to every man.
