"From the fruit of his lips a man enjoys good things, but the unfaithful have a craving for violence." (Proverbs 13:2)
What you say and think has a great power to form your life. In fact, what you say comes out of your heart, Jesus says. A faithful person's speech should be full of joy and blessings, which are the seeds of the harvest he will possess. Since seed brings forth fruit of the same kind, just as a kernel of corn brings forth hundreds of new kernels, so the harvest is a multiplication of what you have sown. You sow good things; you get back more good things. Likewise the "unfaithful" person will also reap what he has sown. Have you noticed how angry much of the world is today? Road rage is recognized as a major mental health problem. Recently I read of a man who was angered at being cut off in traffic. In his attempt to chase his supposed offender he lost control of his vehicle and killed an innocent bystander. His "craving for violence" put him in jail for manslaughter. You will reap what you sow, so make sure the seed is good, and you will enjoy good things.
