You have probably seen someone who "flies off the handle" at the slightest provocation or someone who has a "chip on their shoulder." Scripture calls those people fools. Their overreaction to any offense, imagined or real, causes conflicts to follow them, and makes everyone around them uncomfortable. A wise person doesn’t react to every insult. They consider the source, and realize that often the insult reveals more about the one committing the insult than the person who is the object of the insult. Having an attitude that overlooks offenses will bring peace into your life. Peace is a very precious thing to possess. It belongs to the wise. Be wise.
