I remember an occasion at the college when I failed to tell the difference between two alternatives in a psychology exam.
I felt that the professor had missed a point in one way or the other. I wished I could get a chance to engage him in a discussion to “prove” to him that there was something wrong with the alternative answers he had given.
The problem was however that it was exams and there was no provision for discussion.
I believe we sometimes come to some points where we feel like we would have loved to get an audience with the Lord to 'prove' to Him that there is something amiss in the “alternatives” we get in life where we are expected to choose but one.
Imagine that you are sitting in an examination class where you meet the following:
1. What do you want Me (the Lord Jesus) to be for you. Choose one. a) I am your great Rewarder
b) I am your great reward.
2. I am giving you a tool. Its name is called faith. With it you…: a) can get everything you want instantly;
b) may lack anything but will retain your peace, joy and cultivate unassailable patience.
If you have the time, leave a comment with your choice and the justification. The important thing here is that you search your heart and think through what your choice means.
