Come one, come all
Before the final curtain falls
Each of us must make a choice
Come! Those who can hear His voice
Our final destination we get to choose
It is so simple, yet it can confuse
When all is said and all is done
The choices we make come down to one
Which eternity will you pick?
Be careful for the decision will stick
Believe in Christ and you will be saved
Choose to which you will be enslaved
A slave to Christ is the truest freedom
A blessed servant in God’s Kingdom
Or to your desires will you be ensnared
The devil’s fate will then be shared
Eternal joy or eternal damnation
These are the only two destinations
Life is offered by nail pierced hands
Death for those built upon shifting sands
Ignorance is no longer an excuse
For those who are waiting for proof
Creation testifies that God creates
Yet even this some will debate
Life given through the Risen One
Given to those that receive God’s Son
But those who listen to and serve the Liar
Are doomed to share the Lake of Fire
Choose very wisely this very day?
Be cautioned that time is slipping away
Sooner or later we must meet our end
It is after that our eternity will begin
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live” Deu 30:19 (NKJV)
“…choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…as for me and my house will serve the Lord.” Jos 24:17 (NKJV)
Brothers and Sisters,
This came to me while I was reading “Mere Christianity” by C. S. Lewis. His straight to the point view and explanation of Christianity is a wonderful lesson and I recommend it to anyone to read.
This too is in simple form. There is one choice that all souls must make. It is the choice of life and death. There is no in between or no votes. You can either choose life in Christ, receiving salvation through grace or you can choose (or make no choice) death and eternal damnation. It isn’t pretty and doesn’t seem very nice when put forward in this manner. But for some time is running out.
I don’t always know the “why” of what God leads me to write or share, but I understand the importance of the obedience. The Gospel contains both sides of the coin…life and death. Some people need to hear more on the mercy and some need to be reminded of the consequences. We, as Christians, are obligated to tell the whole story and not just the pretty and pleasing side.
Feel free to use this as a witnessing tool if you are led to do so. As always I am just the pen and this message is for someone out there somewhere. Maybe this will be that turning point for a friend or a relative. I pray that it is.
God bless each of you. May you experience the Spiritual gift of leading someone to Christ. Keep serving.
In Christ,
Christian

Powerful message, Christian. Thanks for sharing your God-given "pen" with us. You always have great advice for followers of the Lord. This is a stern warning for anyone not decided as to which path they will choose...What a choice! How can anyone refuse to take the path of God, leading to everlasting life?...God bless you...Keep writing for God...Helen
This poem and message of yours so reminded me of the day I received For Him Who Has Ears To Hear. May our God continue to speak to the hearts of His servants and may we be willing to listen so other hearts may find their way home! Jody
You are so right! As a bond-servant of Christ, all we can do is listen, hear and obey - then trust that God will bless our obedience to the intended result that fulfills His perfect purpose. Amen, Christian. Blessings always, Jody
I pray this reaches all that need this message of "life and death". I especially like these lines:
Eternal joy or eternal damnation
These are the only two destinations
Life is offered by nail pierced hands
Death for those built upon shifting sands
