Proverbs 20:9(NLT)
Who can say, "I have cleansed my heart; I am pure and free of sin"?
Perfection is to be without flaw; without sin. Sometimes, we think we are perfect, but we will never be in this life. Without error, there is no correction. Without sin, there is no forgiveness. We are ALL sinners, saved by grace. All humans have faults. We all fail. Some faults are more noticeable than others. Some sins are clearly visible, while others are less recognizable. One thing for certain, God sees all and knows all. He knows every mistake that we make.
The Bible reminds us that no one is perfect. When we realize this, we will learn to stop being so judgmental. It is sad, but we love to use the weaknesses and failures of others to build higher self-esteems for ourselves. Truly disgusting! We really must concentrate on our own faults and failures, work on our own issues. By doing this, we won't have time to find flaws in others.
We all have weaknesses. We all make mistakes. We all get into vulnerable situations. We all excel in some areas and not in others. We are all human. The imperfections we possess are ways to usher in humility, growth, brokenness, equality, and forgiveness. We are imperfect so that one day, we will be able to appreciate the perfection of living with our Father in Heaven.
