I will remember that day six years ago when the iron birds disrupted the sky as they flew into the towers and pentagon.
When the earth trembled as the towers fell.
And when the sky rained the tears from heaven above.
I will remember the blood streaked ashen face of the hero's who could do nothing but watch in disbelief.
And the innocent victims whose lives ended far to early.
Yes I will even remember the heartless men who hated us so much they shattered our peaceful existence, and turned our world upside down.
They will surly pay a heavy price for there crimes on that judgment day to come.
I will remember the way I felt that day.
First come shock and horror, then sadness and pain, finally ending in anger and resolve.
I will remember the fear stricken night full of uncertainty.
But then I will remember the ray of light that cut through the darkness and brought hope.
It was our President who spoke words of comfort and hope.
Yes he may not be well liked, but he was the comforter that night.
And I will never forget the words he spoke.
I will remember the first rays of dawn the next day.
How we rose from the ashes a stronger nation.
How brother helped brother.
And all gave what they could and more.
How we were proud to display the colors and fly the flag.
Yes some have forgotten that day, but not me I will always remember September 11th 2001.
May God Bless America.
