Oh Lord, You have seen the foolishness in my heart
Yet You love me anyway, in-spite of myself
The enemy of my soul seeks to destroy me
But You are the lover of my soul
It is to You that I look to for protection
You are the One I run to in times of trouble
I turn my eyes to You when I am in need
Deliver me quickly from my distress
Hear my supplications and see my tears
My own folly causes me to stumble
My own sin ensnares me, causing me to fall down
I reach out my hand up to you oh Lord
I confess my sins and shortcomings to You
Forgive me oh Lord and lift me onto my feet
Do not let me say “I have delivered myself”
But let my boast be in you and your deliverance
Deliver me mightily with your power oh Lord
Let me say to the nations, "The Lord delivered me!"
