Stand in Awe: Answer His Call
The bad news: because of our sin, God has the absolute right to destroy it and would be just in doing so.
The good news: God is also loving , gracious, and merciful, so He sends Jesus to die for our sins (See Romans 3: 23-26, 5: 6-8), which would otherwise send us to hell.
More to the story: God wants to be intimate with mankind.
He calls us His children (see John 1:12)
His friends (See John 15:15)
The place He calls home (See I Corinthians 6: 19)
Part of His team
His wife (Isaiah 54:5) (see also Ephesians 5:23-31)
Think about it, the God of the universe wants us to know Him well. And He knows everything about us.
Ladies: if there was a man who knew everything, and I mean everything about you and made some sacrifices in an effort to win your heart? Wouldn't you want to get to know him better? Commit your life to him if he asked you? Jesus did more than any man would or could ever do. What's holding you back?
Men: what if there was a military general, coworker, or another person who knew everything about you and took a bullet to save your life? Wouldn't you want to follow and be his friend for life? Jesus suffered worse. What's holding you back?
Children: if your father were the President of the United States and stepped in front of you to shield you from danger and always made time to listen to anything you had to say, wouldn't you want to spend as much time with him as possible? Jesus rules the universe, has all the time and did more than shield believe you from danger. What's holding you back?
God is saying I want you close to Me for eternity. We answer His call for the first time? Will you go deeper?
