Dear God, please help Blair to recover,
Because he is my own dear, sweet brother.
He has been Your obedient servant,
And many usher in prayers so fervent.
This blessed man has a heart of gold,
Into Satan's service will not be sold,
But witnesses to many so bold,
And his kindnesses cannot be told.
He has always been by my side,
Even the times when I might have died,
And his uttered prayers You've heard on high,
So now I ask You hear my plaintive cry.
He's suffered in silence all these years,
And now it's time that You dried his tears.
Please heal his body, mind, and spirit,
So fullness of life he can inherit.
Give him the rest he needs to grow strong,
Bolster him up and bring him along.
Let Your angels' wings flutter round his bed,
And feed him with Your own Holy Bread.
I ask this not because we're deserving,
But because Your business is preserving
Your own holy saints for Your righteous work,
And even in darkness, for this You lurk.
Out of the shadows bring light once again,
Bring him from the forest into the glen,
Where the butterflies and flowers dwell,
Please, Almighty God, make my brother well!
