Author requests article critique

Help me, Lord, in morning light
And all throughout the day,
Desire what seemed so fair last night
As I knelt down to pray.

Let not the burdens of this day
Quench that holy fire,
But let the Spirit fan the flame
And let Thy Word inspire.

May the breaking of the dawn
Arouse my love and faith,
And fill my heart with praise and song
Of Thy unfailing grace!

Let not this day with all its care
Drown out Thy still small voice,
Lest I forget my evening prayer...
"Thy will shall be my choice!"

Yes, help me, God, in morning light
And all throughout the day,
To be as mindful, Lord, of Thee
As when I kneel to pray.

This poem could also have been in the Prayer category. It is very reassuring to know that when we pray in the morning light that God will hear us and bring us comfort and help during the day, regardless of what may take place. And when we pray in the morning light, that prayer lasts until the daylight has faded...Thanks for sharing these comforting thoughts...Helen

Yes, sometimes we go through our days and get caught up in everyday activity. Lord help us to talk to You and never lose sight of You. Very beautiful poem!
