Since May, my heart still aches over the execution of my Dad, William Earl Lynd. Recently, I have found letters that he wrote to his parents (from jail) when I was just a little baby girl. He wrote, "I'm going to change my awful ways. I have a child out there who is dear to me and I'm going to start acting like a man. I don't need to live my life drinking, taking drugs or living the life of crime. I'm going to put a little more trust in the Lord...." Once you read one of his letter's, you've read all of them. It's nice to know that I was dear to his heart, but he never did change. In fact, he was in prison for most of my life. Our relationship was mostly built on letters and phone calls. Of course he talked the talk, but he didn't give up the drinking, the drugs or the life of crime. He didn't put his trust in the Lord. He didn't realize that his actions (and non-actions) would leave his baby girl broken inside. Praise God for giving me comfort during this time. He will never leave me or forsake me. (Hebrews 13:5)
If your wanting to change your awful ways, What are you waiting for? DO IT! Your actions are going to speak more volumes than your words. Your baby girl might be depending on it.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
