Poetry
Fallen leaves
that carpet the woodland floor,
crushed, brown, rotting,
life no longer flows through you.
Your beauty is gone,
yet even in death
you are essential,
a part of the cycle of life.
You slowly break down
replenishing the earth,
that once gave you life,
with precious nutrients.
You make it possible
for new leaves, new life
to once again grow and flourish.

This reminds me of another poem on Faithwriters: "We spoke of leaves" by Y.R. You will probably enjoy it too. Nicely done.
