"It is for freedom that Christ set us free. Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by the yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1
We are free. Even when we feel trapped, we are still free! Jesus went to the cross in the name of freedom. We are no longer slaves, we are sons and the inheritance of freedom belongs to us. Our chains have been loosed. The enemy wants us to feel trapped, but we are hidden in Christ(Col 3:3). We belong to Him alone. What are we free from? Colossians 1:22 says that we are free from accusation and Romans 6:18 says that we are free from sin. We are no longer slaves to this world and its sinful desires. We may be tempted by sin, but we do not have to give into it. Jesus did not die for us to be tired, burdened, or weighed down with worry. He did not die for us to give into guilt, condemnation, ot to have a spirit of fear. Jesus died to break the spell of the evil one over this dark world and bring it into the Light of the Son He loves. He came to set the captives free! Its time that we, as a Body walk in that freedom and take our rightful place as His children and heirs. Its time that our lives become a testimony to a world bound by chains! Walk out YOUR freedom for HIS glory, YOUR joy, and for the world we live in to see the salvation and FREEDOM of the Lord! Dear Lord-thank you that we are set free and YOUR yoke is easy and light, and that we no longer have to be burdened by the yoke of slavery! In Jesus sweet name, amen
