"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9 NAS)
God works in mysterious ways!
As a volunteer writer for a Christian magazine, I was assigned to write an article on witnessing at work not too long ago, a topic with which I was unfamiliar. After several days of struggle, I eventually told the editor I was unable to take on the assignment as I was feeling too stressed, the reasons for which I have explained in a separate article Not My Will.
A few days after the decision, however, the Lord opened my eyes to see witnessing from a different perspective, so I wrote and completed the article fairly quickly, intending to have it offered to the editor if she had not yet found another writer for the required article. The editor however replied she had found another writer, so I sought at that point for alternative publishing in the print media. Finding none, I offered it to a Christian web site. The article Witnesses for Christ is now published online.
Several weeks after the article was published, I received an e-mail from the magazine editor asking whether my article was still available for publishing. She explained that her writer after completing her work, crashed her computer, and the article was no longer available. Now the editor hoped to publish my article instead. My returned e-mail to her explained the article was already published online. I sent her the link to the article, informing her she could still publish it if she wanted to, since the terms of the Christian site give consent for owners of articles to reprint their work elsewhere. The editor, after much deliberation, accepted the offer to reprint the article, and today I received a copy of the magazine with my article in it.
Thank you, Lord, for granting me the opportunity to see my Christian article in print in a magazine for the first time. Glory to God in the highest!

I will go back and read your published article, but first I wanted to comment on this. Praise the Lord that you have been used in this way. May you continue your good writing for the glory of God...Helen
