love...a rare wine that soothes the heart.
love...a rare balm that heals our wounds.
love...a rare salve that opens our eyes.
love...a rare diamond that glitters in a dirt filled life.
love...a rare river that flows through the sahara.
love could mean a lot of things. a lot of metaphors could be used to speak of love. but the question is: who is the beloved and who is the lover.
if these two are unknown, love couldn't be put in perspective.
a husband and his wife.
a brother and his sister.
a lad and his lady love.
But bringing in romance really cuts the list short.
I've never really understood love. A lot of people have been in it, out of it, under it, on top of it. At times it's confusing. At times I doubt if love is what love should be.
Then I came across a cross and I never doubted what love was. I understood what it truly meant to be in love.
He died where I should have died
He was beaten where I should have been beaten
He took the fall where I should have been lying flat on my back
He carried me when the ground was burning
He led me when it was dark
He rescued me when I was in trouble
He lifted a mountain when I couldn't go through
He taught me to fly when walking couldn't get me there
He gave me life when I was rotting away.
I never mentioned who it is i am in love with.
his name is Jesus Christ.
Christ...a rare wine that soothes my heart.
Christ...a rare balm that heals my wounds.
Christ...a rare salve that opens my eyes.
Christ...a rare diamond that glitters in my dirt filled life.
Christ...a river that flows through my sahara.
oh thank goodness I found him!
Glory be to God that I have loved and would forever be in love!
For only when you have met Christ would the statement ever hold true that if you haven't loved you haven't lived.
Right now i'm loving and right now i am living...abundantly.
Thank God for Christ...
O what a sweet romance!!!
