But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9
But unfortunately many believers are not living in the reality that what God has for their life has been prepared already ever before they come to know and love the Lord.
Many are believers who are still tie to their past like ancestral, marital, and spiritual or even investment. You’ll often see people saying if they had married a particular person or invest in any particular business or got a particular job or come from a particular background and etc their life would have been better than what it is presently.
The truth is who you’ll be in life is not settled in all of the above but in the fact that Jesus lives, therefore you can face tomorrow. He died 2000 years ago, but he live beyond his past.
Abraham would have hold on to the fact that Lot had left him and taken away the best of the land but because of He who called him, he was able to see beyond what Lot has taken away. What is that thing that the enemy thought he has taken away from you? He can take nothing because the Lord is your inheritance.
Genesis 15:1 says ‘’After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. So also is the Lord saying to you after everything that might have happened to you that ‘’He is your exceedingly great reward’’. He came to this earth and died for you and rose again and live till today.
Ruth put aside her past and she was able to fulfill purpose as she was the great grand mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. The woman of Samaria was another person who fulfilled purpose despite her past; she was the one who evangelised her community with the gospel of Christ. What of Paul, a notorious man of his time? Even though he had a terrible past but he was able to fulfill the plan of God for his life. He took the gospel to many parts of the world and he wrote many books in the New Testament.
Dear Brother and sister your past was a part of you that no longer exist, cut your self off with the thought of your past whether failure or success, as people who dwell in their past lives in their past.
Hold on to the word of God for your life, the journey may be rough, please hold on, it may look as if God is late hold on HE IS NEVER TOO LATE NEITHER TOO EARLY, HE IS ALWAYS THERE ON TIME
Your past is not who you are, who you are is in the word of God and that word is Jesus, therefore enter into his presence with confidence to obtain mercy and find grace in time of need.
