After Death

I sat alone and wondered,
Of thoughts within my head,
What happens when we die?
What happens when we are dead?

Death comes to everyone,
There is nothing for us to fear,
For the spirit within our body,
Leaves when death is near.

It drawn back to the Father,
From whence the spirit came,
To be greeted by our loved ones,
Released from all hurt and pain.

Death is quite natural,
It is a doorway to peace of mind,
Placed in a world of beauty,
Tranquillity we all shall find.

As a being we shall continue,
To learn everything we can,
To learn all the knowledge;
To help our fellow man.

Although we have shed the material,
It is important the message should be,
Death only opens the door of adventure,
To a world that is peaceful and free.
