David had a deep longing for God's presence always.
He always wanted to be in God's presence and safety.
"I will sing of mercy and justice;
To You, O LORD, I will sing praises.
I will behave wisely in a perfect way.
Oh, when will You come to me?
I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. "
Psalm 101:1-2 (New King James Version)
Is God's presence loving and comforting? or is it something that is breaching our privacy?
Dear Ones!!! the best way to answer the above question and arrive at a final conclusion is as what David tells us here.....
"Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!"
Psalm 34:8 (New King James Version)
Yes!!! David had tasted the love of the Lord and he knew the goodness of the Lord God in His life and thus he longs for it more and more.
Dear Ones!!! let's experience the Lord's presence in our lives and then we will never leave His presence and will always yearn for it more and more.
This is the reason why David seeks the Lord's presence always...
"You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
Psalm 16:11 (New King James Version)
Lord, let Thy blessed presence fill me always,
Help me to seek Thee all of my days,
and love you at all times every day.
