Once again I have failed
Like so many times before
I have now grown to the point
Where I can no longer ignore
These failures in my life
As they happen day by day
I repent daily of my sins
But struggles come my way
God will forgive me
When I bow to pray and ask
But over and over
I am ever failing my task
Forgiveness will he grant
As today I fail him again
He never fails me though
Never fails to forgive my sin
Washed away in the sea
Forgetful of my stain
No matter what happens
I know he will never refrain
From accepting my repentance
Each and every single time I pray
All I have to do is accept his word
For my failure this very day
Is offset by the father’s mercy
Forgiven and forever shall I be
Saved by his mercy and grace
Love shall I always see
For my failures are many
And be they large or small
His mercy shall forgive them all
