Coram Deo, before the face of God:
I am but a child, small and helpless,
fragile, needing care,
powerless to help myself.
Coram Deo, before the face of God:
I stand in praise and adoration,
singing with the heavenly choir,
dancing with joy before God’s throne.
Coram Deo, before the face of God:
I see myself reflected in love, not loathing.
I see myself as I truly am,
a creation of God’s goodness.
Coram Deo, before the face of God:
I fall to my knees
reverently, humbly, fearfully,
aware of my own insignificance,
yet known and loved, forgiven and free.
Coram Deo, before the face of God:
All my desires are fulfilled,
my hunger and thirst are sated,
and I want nothing more than
to stand before the face of God.
