My heart is broken, I've been kicked while I'm down.
In this raging torrent, I thought surely I'll drown.
Then suddenly this peace, it washes over me.
And I realize that Jesus is my victory.
The sky is so blue, but my heart is gray.
I barely know if I'll survive this day.
In my anguish I cried to the Lord, and He answered by setting me free. (Ps. 118:5)
Now I know that Jesus is my victory.
This world may think I'm crazy, having this joy through this pain.
They just stand in awe as I dance in this rain.
They wonder, How do I believe? Have this hope in things I cannot see?
I respond, “Because Jesus is my victory. Jesus is my victory!”
