THERE WILL COME A TIME

There will come a time:
when peace shall reign,
quarreling, fighting, persecution
in the name of religion, race, power, and money will end.
For the glory of the Lord shall be our light,
and Jesus shall be our lamp.
There will come a time:
when the starving shall eat their fill,
the thirsty shall be satisfied,
those who mourn shall be comforted.
For the glory of the Lord shall be our light,
and Jesus shall be our lamp.
There will come a time:
when truth will conquer deceit,
trust will conquer prejudice,
faith will conquer fear.
For the glory of the Lord shall be our light,
and Jesus shall be our lamp.
There will come a time:
when dancing shall replace mourning,
singing shall replace weeping,
and our greatest desire will be for God:
to seek God’s face, to do God’s will,
to live in harmony with all people.
For the glory of the Lord shall be our light,
