Normally when people talk about the direction that our culture and society is headed,people with a keen sense of history may be heard to remark,“Those who don’t learn from their history, are bound to repeat it.” However, I recently heard a slightly different spin on this idea. A visiting evangelist said "People who know their history, are blessed to repeat it.”
Unlike other historical accounts that can be ascribed to the winners writing the history,the Bible is full of stories of God’s dealings with nations and people,some of whom would not be considered winners or conquers by our standards. However,the reoccurring theme through out the Bible is one of God strongly supporting people who put their faith and trustin God.
In a sense you could say that people that know God’s nature and character,will be blessed to follow in the foot steps of the great men and women of faith that we find in the pages of the Bible.
