Satan wants to devour you and bring you down from the heights you have risen to in Christ Jesus. He will do anything to lure you away from God. He will spare no expense, go to any measure, and He will use your weaknesses to cause you to fall.
Let me ask you a few questions:
· Are you depressed?
· Do you sometimes, feel like a loser?
· Have you, repeatedly sinned and feel like you can’t make it as a Christian?
· Having fallen so often, have you come to the conclusion that it is useless to go on?
· Are you feeling hopeless?
· Have you become apathetic and even lethargic, concerning the things of God?
Well…welcome to the last days, buckaroos!
If you answered any of the above questions in the affirmative, you have been deceived and are buying into the lies of the Devil and you are in danger of being given the label, “Laodicea Church.”
And…further more…you are right where the Devil wants you to be.
Let me try to explain this harsh statement.
Folks, we all fall down.
The Bible tells us in: Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…WE ALL FALL at one time or another, so you are no worse off than your brother.
Psalms 37:4 says, “Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.”
Can you just comprehend, for a moment here, what the scriptures are telling us?
You’re going to fall!!! As long as we live in this corruptible body, WE ARE GOING TO FALL.
We are going to feel moments of depression:
Moments of feeling like a loser; that everything we touch turns to dust.
Moments of feeling like we can’t go on anymore and that the things you would do, you do not; and the things you would not do, you do. A seemingly endless cycle.
Moments of hopelessness creating moments of being lethargic concerning the things of God.
Brain dead and flat lined!
THERE IS GOOD NEWS!
We don’t have to stay that way, like the Devil would have us to be. We have a way out.
Thanks be to God and His merciful favor, He sealed us for safe keeping the very moment we asked Jesus into our hearts and believed that He is the Son of God and He died for our sins and that He rose from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father making intersession for us.
Jesus, being our advocate, reminds the Father that He paid the final price for our sins and that His atonement was the final payment, therefore we are Redeemed from the curse of sin and death…. forever… Jesus says, “Just chalk it up to My account, Father.”
Glory be to God, if that ain’t something to shout about!
Don’t you think it is about time to get over your fall and get on with your call?
Now I ask you:
Are you still depressed? Knowing that Jesus imputed unto you His righteousness and that He sanctified you and set you apart from the world by His redemptive blood.
Do you still feel like a loser? Knowing that, in Christ Jesus, we have the victory! He defeated Satan and the grave so that we might do likewise.
1 Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” and in verse 54, “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
I don’t know what your definition of loser is, but that don’t sound like no loser to me!
Do you repeatedly sin and feel like you can’t make it as a Christian?
If you get stuck right here it is because of lack of knowledge of the word of God. Perhaps you haven’t believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, the Lord Jesus. Maybe you gave a little lip service when someone tried to pin you down, or maybe you think that being a good person is what it takes to get to heaven…I don’t know.
I do know that if you feel you can’t make it as a Christian… you don’t know God very well and you certainly don’t know or have a true relationship with His Son, Jesus.
In Matthew Chapter 13 we read, starting at verse 4, “As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.”
Maybe your confession of faith was indeed just lip service to please someone or to get someone off your back placing you in the lost seed department.
The good news is that…it’s not too late. As long as you have breath in your body and your mind is still cognizant, you can still make a true confession of faith.
Listen to verse 8 of Matthew 13, “Still other seed fell on good soil, (The Repentant Heart) where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. He who has ears, let him hear."
Now, if you don’t know God, by knowing His Word; if you don’t know Jesus, who is God our Redeemer…again it’s not too late. Lack of knowledge can start to be reversed right now.
Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
What is this shame Paul is talking about?
1 Corinthians 15:34 “Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.”
This shame is in not knowing God intimately.
Who He is?
What does He stand for?
What does He expect of us, and how do we stand up to those expectations?
Knowledge of the Holy One brings power to overcome sin.
Power to live above depression.
He is our strength.
In our weaknesses, we are made strong.
We are the rigorousness in Christ Jesus.
Cast all our burdens on Him for He cares for us.
He will never leave us nor forsake us.
He will never humiliate us.
He loves us so much, He gave His life for us.
Power to be a winner.
He is our Victory.
He Redeemed us from the curse of sin and death.
He has prepared a table for us in the presence of our enemy.
He is preparing a mansion for us; so that where He is we shall be also.
Power to stop repeating the same sins over and over.
We can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens us.
There is no temptation that is taken of man, but that God has made a way of escape.
He said, “I am with you, even to the ends of the earth.”
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”
“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:”
I tell you, I could go on and on with scriptures that tell us who God is and the power He has given us through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Don’t you think it is about time you got to know the One who created you and placed you on this earth for a reason? No one is an accident. God knew you before you were formed in your mothers womb.
He knew us before the foundation of the world was laid, and He knows all about us now and all the reasons we don’t trust Him in all things.
What…you hiding what from whom. Get real…Christ has all the same attributes as God the Father and His Omniscience; His all-knowing knowledge reveals all things.
It’s time to get over your fall and get on with your call.
Like I said before, you are not a mistake of birth. You do have a purpose on this earth and it’s time you ask God to reveal that purpose to you.
How do you go about that?
First, you have got to be like the seed that fell on good soil, where it produced a crop.
You have got to have a repenting heart!
Believe with your heart and confess with your mouth.
Then you have to get to know the One you trusted with your eternal life, Jesus. The phrase, “Sell Out,” works here. You have to surrender ALL the areas of your life over to the will of God. Anything less, will leave you incomplete.
Then, you need to walk in His ways. You won’t know His ways unless you talk with Him and study His word faithfully.
Knowledge of the Holy One brings the power to be an overcomer. Put your faith into action and watch your life change for the better.
The power in the name of Jesus can move mountains.
In the name of Jesus, depression has to flee.
In the name of Jesus, we have the victory.
In the name of Jesus, we have power over sin.
What is your call? Only God can answer that and He will, if you draw close to Him and surrender your will to His.
It took me a closer relationship with Christ before I knew His will for my life and you can rest assured that it will take a closer walk with Jesus for you to know and then understand your calling.
You don’t have the time left that I had before I knew and understood my calling. Jesus is just a lost soul away that has to come into His kingdom before He shuts the door on the gathering of His Bride and calls His Bride to the Marriage and Supper of the Lamb.
In or out…ONLY YOU can make that decision.
What will it be?
Are you willing to GET OVER YOUR FALL AND GET ON WITH YOUR CALL?
Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Colossians 2:13-15, 13When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.[
Colossians 2:20-23. Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: 21"Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? 22These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. 23Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.
This is talking about false humility, the worship of angels, and being puffed up with idle notions, the basic principles of this world.
You are no longer of this world. Stop following the ways of the world.
Jesus is calling…calling all sinners, come home.
Are you willing to GET OVER YOUR FALL AND GET ON WITH YOUR CALL?
