In relation to a personal prophecy I received at church today where the Lord was telling me about how and where He’s transitioning me in this season, I went to prayer about it. This word of the Lord spoke about more influence and authority to speak into people’s lives, etc. in the city of Lexington, Ky. where I live as well as in the county area.

Of course, I knew this meant more stretching of my faith and taking care to be obedient to all He‘s given me to do. It meant just what the Holy Spirit had told me a few weeks ago, “Lengthen your stride.” And with the kind of things the Lord was talking about in regards to an increase in influence and authority, I also knew this meant greater responsibility and anointing. And of course, this means a greater anointing. And of course, this doesn‘t come cheap. It costs you everything.

As I prayed, I just felt humbled by this word from the Lord that was yet another piece to fit in with everything He’s told me before about my calling. As I began to pray I said, “Lord, I hear what you’re saying in this word and I feel humbled by it. I thank you for the gift of the discerning of spirits and for giving me an ear to hear your Spirit and for the greater influence and authority to speak your words in season to other people. But Lord, I can’t do any of this without you. I just simply cannot do it. It will be by your grace. It will be by your anointing. It will be by your words that I’ll be able to do it.”

When I got to this place in my prayer, the Holy Spirit stopped me and said, “It will be according to YOUR words.”
This kind of took me by surprise and I responded, “What?!!” Then, I repeated out loud what the Lord had just said. The Scripture in Eph.3:20 was immediately quickened to me that says, “Now unto Him Who is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”I didn’t say anything else right then because I sensed the Holy Spirit had some more He wanted to say to me, so I waited.

He continued, “I can only move by the words you speak that are in agreement with mine and you speak them by faith. I can’t do any of the things I want to do as long as you speak words of doubt, fear and unbelief. Those words cause a shut down to My power operating to it’s fullest capacity in your life. Did I not say that the power of life and death is in the tongue?” (Proverbs 18:21).

My hand automatically went up to cover my mouth, knowing I needed to ask God continually to put a ‘watch over my mouth’ as king David did in the book of Psalms. But I answered promptly, “Yes, Lord, You did.” The Lord said, “Life and blessing, death and cursing. I’m not the author of curses and I can’t operate within the frame-work of death words and words of cursing. I AM life and everything I speak to and touch lives!”

The Lord said, “I move according to the words you speak once you get into agreement with the words I’ve already spoken (logos & Rhema). And when you get into agreement and speak My words of life by faith, the anointing, resident in My Word, couples with your faith where it ignites and brings forth the tangible manifestation. So remember, I move according to your words.”

I encourage you to read and meditate on these Scriptures for yourself and allow the Holy Spirit to bring revelation to your spirit.

John 11:25, “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believe in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
John 11:43-44, “And when He had thus spoken, He cried with a loud voice Lazarus, come forth.
44-And he that was dead come forth (alive).”

Mark 5:41-41, “And He took the damsel by the hand (He touched her) and said unto her, Tal’-i-tha, cu’-mi: which is, being interpreted, Damsel (I say unto you) arise.
42-And straightway, the damsel arose and walked...”

Hebrew 11:1, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not see.”

Proverbs 4:20-22, “My son, attend to My words (of life); incline your ear unto My sayings.
21-Let them (words of life) not depart from your eyes, keep them in the midst of your heart (meditate on them);
22-For they (My words) are life unto to those who find them (My Words), are health to all their flesh.”

Mark 11:23, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say (the words you speak) unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
(this is ‘according to your words’ that you’re in agreement with God on and you speak in faith, then the Holy Spirit is able to work with the word and bring to pass).

Eph.3:20, “Now unto Him Who is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all we can ask or think, according to the power that’s at work in us (you).”
(How do you release that dunamis, miraculous power thats within you so it can operate on your behalf? It’s released to operate “according to your words” of faith that you speak in agreement with God’s word, logos and Rhema word).

Romans 10:10, “For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
(Again, this is, “according to your words” spoken in faith and in agreement with God’s word).

Psalm 103:20, “Bless ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening (listening) unto the voice of His Word.”
(God has already spoken His logos Word, we have it in written form in what we call the Bible. The angels are ever listening to hear you and I get in agreement with it and “according to your words,” of faith they are sent forth in strength to bring to pass what you’ve voiced).

Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
(Again, it’s “According to your words” as the Holy Spirit said, that He’s able to work and then only if we’re speaking life words that are based on either God’s Logos word or His Rhema word. It’s also “According to your words” if you’re speaking death words of doubt, fear and unbelief that you’ll receive the fruit of it. So, we want to be very careful to speak only life words that brings blessings into our lives.)
As you read over these Scriptures and meditate on them, God will quicken other Scriptures to you that He wants you to look at so He can speak to you. Listen for that still small voice. He’s speaking now calling your name, can you hear Him?

Praise God, for someone else who knows, and speaks out about the power of our words to bless or curse. When some learn to speak rightly, then they have already "tamed their mind" so that the loose not, words of doubt, fear, words that contain no faith also needs to be addressed. For when Jesus hear the false flattery he said "you flatter me with your lips, but your heart is far from me" so you are right. We have to believe our words spoken in faith, to receive. Your brother in CHRIST Well written! Amen!
