"And my God will supply all of your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus" Phillipians 4:19
Holy spirit, continue to take over these messages. Amen
I had many verses that I wanted to write on this week, and quite honestly, I feel that if I would have chosen a different verse than this one, my message would have sounded more eloquent, and maybe it would have been longer, and maybe I would have sounded more knowlegable, who knows? However, it would not have been the verse that the Lord wanted me to use this week, and I would not have been fully obedient in writing this message! So I pray that whoever reads this would take God's promise to heart and hold onto to the faith He has given you, and the reassurance you will recieve as His child......also, this may be one worth passing on, as EVERYONE is affected by the economy these days.
It can be scary living in hard economic times. We see the gas and food prices rising, and we don't see our income rising! It is easy to worry, even for a heart deeply rooted in faith. The psalmist said "I was young, now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken, or their children begging for bread." God, our Good Shepherd looks after His sheep. He is taking care of us, he will not let us go hungry. He will not allow His beloved children to go without. Phillipians 4:19 sums uo a lot of the promises given in the Old Testament about God's provision. His resources are eternal, as He is eternal. He is the same God in good and bad times. He is ever faithful. Don't let doubt chase you away from God's reassurance. Fall into the arms of the One who loves you. He provides you with more than just money, for He knows all of your needs, the big and small. Yes, it is good to be wise in using our financial and physical resources, however, do not let go of the promise of the One who is faithful. And also, the psalmist mentioned the righteous and their children, meaning He will provide for you, and your family, for He knows their needs as well. Rejoice in the fact that OUR gain is His glory!!!
